Expo Line Culver City LRT Phase I - Los Angeles, Calif. & Culver City, Calif.
The Mid-City/Exposition ( Expo) Light Rail Project consists of a new two-track light rail system that connects to the existing Metro Blue Line (MBL) at Flower Street and Washington Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles. The total route length from the Flower Street / Washington Boulevard Junction to the End of the Line in Culver City is approximately 411,000 feet (7.8 miles).
Mass. Electric Construction Co. (MEC) was awarded a subcontract to complete the systems installation for this transit project. MEC’s scope of work for the electrical systems included procurement and installation of the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) and Traction Power System cabling as well as the installation of eight (8) Prime Contractor furnished Traction Power Substations.
Our scope of work for the train control and communications systems included the installation of prime contractor furnished train control and communications equipment and the procurement and installation of train control and communications cabling.
